When eating out and shopping in Euston, one of the first places you might want to try is the station. Sounds odd, but between London Euston and the King’s Cross-St Pancras Complex, there are a lot of places to eat and many major retailers – not to mention The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾.


About Euston

In an area densely packed with major London train stations and a busy road skirting the beginnings of Northwest London, Euston is a major commuter hub and popular spot for corporate housing, striking a balance, as it does, between transport access and proximity to the sights and business centres of Central London. Euston Road forms part of the London congestion charge zone boundary; so again, serviced apartments nearby could be a good answer to staying close to the centre.

Of course, the dominating factor in coming to city apartments in the area is London Euston Railway Station. It is the southern terminus for the West Coast Main Line, running services up to Manchester, Liverpool and all the way up to Glasgow and Edinburgh. It also runs mainline services to Birmingham New Street and, for those heading over to Ireland, to Holyhead for a connecting ferry service to Dublin. Euston Bus Station can be found next to the train station, running services across the capital, while Euston also has two tube stations, the main one at the train station site is on the Victoria Line and served by both branches of the Northern Line, while Euston Square is only about a six-minute walk and adds the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines to those available.

Staying in corporate accommodation in Euston, you can also take advantage of it proximity to King’s Cross and St Pancras. Station to station, the walk is a maximum of 15 minutes although, as the King’s Cross-St Pancras tube is only one stop away – whether you are at Euston mainline station or at Euston Square – the tube could be a more efficient way to go.

There’s no getting away from it, Euston is an area for business, people come seeking short term accommodation in the area because it is resplendent with office buildings – Euston Tower probably being the most notable. But staying in a furnished short let in Euston doesn’t mean you have to stay only in your accommodation, however comfortable, and there are things to do without having to hop onto a tube into Central London.
