You are in central Eastbourne and within easy walking distance of the town centre, train station, theatres, bars, cinema, restaurants and seafront. The town centre has an indoor shopping mall and a wide selection of high street retail outlets, while the Enterprise Centre (near the train station) and South Street (at the top of this street) offer more quirky, independent choices. The seafront promenade provides a safe location for a daily stroll, a chance for the children to let off steam on scooters or skates. The well manicured carpet gardens and lawns provide a pleasant backdrop and a trip on the Dotto train or the Beachy Head boat is always a hit! Eastbourne is a great base for exploring the South Downs. The historic South Downs Way follows the cliff tops from Eastbourne to Chichester with breathtaking views of the Seven Sisters. Nearby Cuckmere Haven is another excellent destination for walkers and cyclists – you can follow the meandering river along the well trodden path to the sea or picnic in Friston Forest. Beachy Head is another dramatic landmark and a popular place to visit, but don't stand too close to the edge!! It is also worth exploring some of the beautiful surrounding Sussex villages to seek out some great country pubs and enjoy stunning walks.
